Anyone who has ever stayed out till the break of dawn partying has experienced the horror of a next day hangover. But have you ever stopped to consider the poor venue that hosted you for the evening and how it might feel the morning after? Probably not, but two photography students from Hamburg have and since 2009, André Giesemann and Daniel Schulz have been arriving late to the party and documenting night clubs and venues after the doors have closed. Recently, this series was included in the Ten Haaf Project’s summer series “Young and Restless.” Devoid of humanity with drink straws and confetti littering the floor, the two Germans capture the haunting presence of these spaces of revelry in their off-hours. Kind of makes you wish night clubs could get a bloody mary and some Ibuprofen too.
